Renowned Pakistani actress and host Mishi Khan has marked her words in favor of YouTuber Rajab Butt amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his lavish wedding.
In previous days Rajab Butt remained in headlines for his extravagant wedding celebrations, which went viral on social media.
The videos of these events sparked immense criticism from many internet users who called it a show off wedding.
Recently Mishi Khan shared a video on her Instagram account and expressed her support for Butt. In this video she urged critics to reconsider their views.
“YouTuber Rajab Butt has finally tied the knot with Eman. His wedding has been trending for the past few days, and he’s facing criticism for its extravagance. People are commenting he could have used that money for charity. But let me clarify, he has been involved in charitable work as well”, she told.
She further explained, “In Punjab, it’s a common tradition during weddings to throw money to express the happiness. Critics should understand that it was his money, and he should be free to spend it as he wishes.”
Khan opened up on the hypocrisy of some critics saying “Many who condemned Butt’s spending had never contributed to charity works themselves”.
Mishi Khan also addressed the controversy surrounding a lion cub Butt received as a gift. She noted that the YouTuber had not kept it at home. “He hasn’t kept it; give him time to obtain the proper licenses.”
