On Wednesday, the military wing ISPR issued a firm response to remarks made by the Indian army chief, who labeled Pakistan as the “hub of terrorism.”
In a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan urged India to refrain from harboring “self-delusions” and focus on reality instead of fabricating allegations about terror networks within Pakistan.
The Pakistani military has issued a strong rebuttal to recent remarks by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who claimed that a majority of the militants neutralized in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) were of Pakistani origin. These statements were made during a press briefing ahead of India’s Army Day celebrations on January 13, as reported by Indian media.
In its response, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) dismissed the accusations as baseless, labeling them an attempt to shift focus from India’s internal oppression and its continued violations in IIOJK.
The statement criticized India’s tendency to blame Pakistan for the indigenous resistance in Kashmir, calling it a “display of duplicity” and a political maneuver to obscure the reality of state-sponsored brutality.
The military also highlighted the Indian Army’s history of human rights violations in the region, accusing General Dwivedi of overseeing severe repression during his tenure in IIOJK.
The statement further condemned India’s broader actions, including suppression of minorities, transnational abuses, and incitement of hate speech that promotes violence against Muslims.
Referring to the 2016 arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, the ISPR noted that his confession to orchestrating terror in Balochistan and Karachi undermines India’s narrative.
It criticized the Indian Army leadership for ignoring these facts while making unfounded claims about Pakistan.
The statement concluded with a call for professionalism and respect for state-to-state norms, urging Indian military leaders to prioritize integrity over politically motivated rhetoric.
Pakistan also reaffirmed its support for the Kashmiri people and their struggle for self-determination under UN resolutions.
