Remote control blast claimed 5 lives including 3 children, 2 adults, and more than 22 people injured in Mastung.
Police reported that the blast killed children aged between 5 and 10 years and most of the injured are school children.
The injured and dead bodies were transported to Mastung’s Civil Hospital Chowk.
The terrorists targeted a police van, resulting in the death of 3 children, one police officer, and a passerby. They took the injured to the hospital for medical assistance.
Security forces and rangers now patrol the area with security measures nearby. Police reported that explosives, planted in a motorcycle and controlled remotely, damaged a police mobile and a rickshaw.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the school blast in Mastung. The PM expressed grief over the martyrdom of children and police personnel in the blast.
PM Shehbaz prayed for patience for the families of martyrs. He officially stated that targeting civilians and children is a serious crime, and security forces must halt it.
On the other hand, the acting president Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani also condemned the explosion in Mastung.
He expressed his deep condolences and regret over the death of children and police personnel. He said that terrorists and terrorist organizations are enemies of humanity.
