Rumors have emerged that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, may be compensating influencers and celebrities to promote her administration’s 100-day achievements.
The allegations surfaced after Junaid Akram, popularly known as “Ganji Swag” with over a million YouTube subscribers, posted a video titled “Punjab’s 100-Day Performance Review.”
Additionally, content creator Hamza Bhatti revealed on that he received a call from the Punjab CM’s team about participating in the campaign.
As per Hamza’s post the conversation went like,
Them (PMLN team): Hamza bhai PML(N) kai initiative ki promotion karani hai.
Me (Hamza): Ahan
Them: Comments off kr dijiye ga beshak
Me: LOL
Travel vlogger Abrar, who runs the “Wildlens by Abrar” channel, also revealed on Instagram that influencers are being handsomely paid to endorse the Punjab government.
Moreover, Youtuber/Tiktoker Nadeem Mubarak also posted a video claiming that PML-N is offering 15 lac to do a promotion video.
Supporting this, videos featuring celebrities like Saboor Aly, Ayesha Omar, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Urwa Hocane, Saba Faisal, Areeba Habib, and Zhalay Sarhadi have been circulating online, promoting the government’s efforts.
Influencer Muzamil Hasan Zaidi commented on X, “The 100-day digital campaign was an interesting move. It’s clear now that money alone can’t buy positive public opinion on social media. No amount of paid promotion can push a product that people don’t actually like.”
