FIA Cyber Crime Registers 14 More Cases in 12 Hours under PECA Law in Action.
Under the contentious PECA law, the Cyber Crime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has filed 14 more cases in just 12 hours.
From Gujranwala, two suspects have been apprehended; from Muzaffargarh, one has been captured.
The incidents, which included false pictures and videos of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the President of the UAE, were reported.
Punjab had eight FIA Cyber Crime listed cases, Islamabad had four, and Abbottabad had two.
About 32 FIRs have been filed hitherto and 19 suspects taken into police custody.
Muzaffargarh posted counterfeit videos of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on social media in a situation.
The police say they have apprehended Kamran, and the incident was reported at the Saddar Police Station under PEMRA and other pertinent regulations.
Another suspect, Faizan, the FIR claims, uploaded bogus videos. He targeted Maryam Nawaz and other government personnel on his social media account.
The claims say that made videos were employed to disseminate a fraudulent narrative via social media.
FIA Cyber Crime, meanwhile, has registered 14 more cases within 12 hours under the contentious PECA Act.
Charges included using social media to spread negative propaganda against CM Punjab and state. It landed two suspects in Gujranwala detained.
