A disturbing occurrence occurred in Rawalpindi when a man was caught red-handed doing black magic rituals while excavating a young girl’s grave.
Local police confirmed the arrest of the suspect, Yaseen Bukhari.
According to the authorities, the deceased girl’s father, Mirza Sulaiman, buried her in a cemetery in Chauntra village.
He was notified of a stranger tampering with the grave and quickly went to the scene with law enforcement.
When the police arrived, they discovered Bukhari carrying suspicious objects such as a clay figurine of half a human, seven amulets, and seven nails wrapped with iron wire, all of which were thought to be associated with sorcery.
He was apprehended on the spot. Bukhari was charged under Section 297 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) with violating Islamic traditions at a burial place.
According to the FIR, the suspect, a native of Adhowal village, planned to bury the goods to conduct black magic.
During interrogation, Bukhari originally said his wife had been ill for a long time and that a spiritual healer urged him to uncover a buried object from the graveyard to cure her.
However, when questioned about the ceremonial artefacts he carried, he failed to provide a sufficient explanation.
The culprit appeared in court, but he was soon freed on bond because the charges were bailable.
