A man has been arrested in Karachi on suspicion of desecrating graves and sexually abusing the bodies of deceased women.
The individual reportedly admitted to desecrating four graves of women, revealing disturbing details about his actions, according to the police.
The suspect, who was detained at Bagh Korangi Cemetery, provided a confession that unveiled a horrifying account of grave desecration and sexual abuse involving female corpses, the authorities stated.
Investigators revealed that the suspect specifically targeted newly dug graves, exhuming the bodies of women to commit the abuse.
This individual had previously been apprehended by local residents at a graveyard in Korangi No. 01 back in 2016. The case has been officially registered at Awami Colony Police Station, and further inquiries are ongoing.
In a related incident, on June 22, a troubling report emerged from Lahore, where the body of a three-month-old infant disappeared from its grave just hours after being buried.
The incident took place at Lahore’s Miani Sahib Graveyard, where the child’s father, Abdul Rahman, discovered the body missing the next day, with only the shroud found nearby.
Following the report, police arrested three suspects, including a security guard, in connection with the disappearance. The FIR notes that the incident occurred on April 23 of this year.
