The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a 25-year-old man from Borda village in Rajasthan for allegedly plotting to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The arrest followed a video posted by the suspect on the YouTube channel “Are Chhodo Yar,” where he mentioned the Bishnoi Gang and detailed the assassination plan against Khan.
The suspect has been transported to Mumbai for further investigation. The case has been registered at the South Cyber Police Station in Mumbai under Sections 506(2), 504, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as Section 66(d) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
The investigation began after a shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra in April. On June 4, the Mumbai Crime Branch recorded statements from Salman and his brother, Arbaaz Khan, regarding the incident. Salman revealed that he was at home on the day of the shooting and was awakened by the sound of a bullet, which he described as a serious event.
