Lahore police have arrested seven lawyers affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a protest at GPO Chowk on Saturday.
The protest was part of a larger movement organized by the PTI to express their grievances against the government.
Tensions escalated when police began using tear gas to disperse crowds gathered outside the Aiwan-e-Adl.
A significant number of PTI workers and lawyers had assembled at the location when law enforcement initiated their crackdown.
The lawyers, who were actively protesting, faced arrest following a brief standoff with police.
As tear gas shells flew through the air, protesters shouted slogans while attempting to resist the police actions.
Salman Akram Raja, a senior PTI leader present at the scene, managed to leave GPO Chowk in a vehicle just before the arrests began.
