Ever since the launch of Lahore electric buses, everyone is curious about Lahore electric bus routes.
As per Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, almost 98 bus stops are under construction and 27 buses will work on the route.
She also revealed that main aim of the transport service is to connect the outskirts of Lahore to the main city.
17,000 people will be able to use the facility on a daily basis. Services of the bus include free Wi-Fi, mobile charging ports, and CCTV cameras to ensure the security of the travellers.
Moreover, the bus is free for the students and differently-abled people. Locations the bus will cover include Haji Camp, Police Lines, Shimla Pahari, Rojna Majang, Muslim League House, Club Chowk, Governor House, Bagajina Zoo.
These are the stops the bus will make. Additionally, the routes will also cover Charing Cross, Gangaram Hospital, Waris Road, Abid Market, Mazang, Shama, Ichhra, Faizliya Colony, Rehmanpura, Ichhra Bridge, Punjab College, New Garden Town.
Further Lahore electric bus routes include Campus Bridge, Punjab University, Gate No. 4, Hale College, IBS Stop, Shahdi Khui, Ravi Chowk, Shaukh Chowk, Akbar Chowk, Township Bazaar, Moochi, Pura. Other than that, it also includes Model Road, Link Road, Honda Mall, Government Employee Society, Pindi Stop, Rifa University, Nursery Bus Stop, Hamdard Chowk, and Miraj University.
At the launching event, Punjab Ministers for Transport Bilal Akbar revealed about his plan to introduce more than 500 electric buses in the Punjab, different cities including Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
He also revealed that Lahore will see two new mass transit systems.
Currently, as per CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, the Lahore’s first tram service would operate from Thokar Niaz Beg to Haribanspura. She has asked the department to work rapidly for the underground transport system.
