The University of Karachi awarded an honorary doctorate to the renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik. Kamran Khan Tesori, the Chancellor of the University and Governor of Sindh presented PhD degree in a ceremony held at the Governor’s House.
While addressing the ceremony, Governor Tesori recognized Dr. Naik’s significant contributions to Islamic scholarship. “I congratulate him for receiving the honorary doctorate,” he stated.
Governor Tesori further noted Dr. Naik’s popularity across the Muslim world. Tesori highlighted Dr. Naik’s extensive work in delivering lectures and participating in debates globally. “I’m confident that Dr. Zakir will continue to serve the community with dedication.”
Many prominent personalities attended the ceremony. Consul Generals from several countries, the Chairman of Sindh Higher Education Commission Professor Dr. Tariq Rafi, Sheikh Al-Jamia Karachi Professor Khalid Iraqi, Mufti Abdul Rahim, and numerous Deans, Professors, and faculty members were present at the ceremony.
