The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has changed the name of the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium in Peshawar to Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
The provincial government has decided that the Arbab Niaz Stadium will be named after Bobby Chairman Imran Khan.
In this regard, the Sports Department has prepared a summary for changing the name of the stadium, and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur approved the summary, in which it is written that Arbab Niaz will be named Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
The summary for changing the name of the stadium will be presented in the cabinet meeting tomorrow, which is likely to be approved.
On the other hand, the cost of the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium reached Rs 2.31 billion, while the cost of the stadium in 2018 was Rs 1.37 billion.
In addition, the cost in 2021 reached Rs 1.94 billion and the cost of the stadium in 2024 reached Rs 2.31 billion.
