A man claimed to have several pornographic recordings of playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar and to have devised the scheme to capture the well-known author.
One of Khalilur Reman Qamar’s obscene video is also circulation on social media.
The mastermind, Hasan Shah, and his collaborator, Rafiq, both from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s capital city of Peshawar, have been taken into custody by the police.
The twelve-person gang, which includes women, is led by Shah.
Hasan Shah, the accused, told the police in a recorded statement that Khalilur Rehman Qamar went to the woman’s residence with malicious intent rather than to discuss the script.
He said that because of offensive films, the writer had raised a fuss over his kidnapping. The woman is one of the 12 suspects that police have detained thus far.
In a podcast last week, Qamar said that the kidnappers had brought up Saba Qamar and Nauman Ijaz.
The playwright stated on a podcast on Thursday, “At first, I didn’t want to file a complaint for the FIR simply because the abductors had mentioned Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar behind my abduction.”
Even though Qamar and Saba Qamar had a lot of disagreements, Qamar claimed to despise Nauman Ijaz despite the fact that he is a fantastic actor.
The dramatist said, “These are not the people who could do such a thing.”
By citing the aforementioned actors, he disclosed that the abductors intended to subject him to mental torture and pressure throughout that occurrence.
