A local court on Friday granted bail to Natasha Danish, the woman who was accused of crushing a man and his daughter to death and leaving four others injured in Karsaz accident in Karachi.
The court granted the bail against surety bond of Rs100,000.
The development took place after the victims’ family pardoned Natasha Danish
Natasha’s family paid over Rs55 million as diyat (compensation) to Aamna’s family. The accused would pay the money through a pay order. One of Aamna’s relatives would also get job in accused party’s company.
The injured individuals has also settled the issues with the Natasha family. The accused would pay them compensation, as per insiders.
It was reported that the diyat agreement between the parties was made in accordance with Islamic law. The heirs of the deceased Imran Arif and Amanda Arif prepared sworn affidavits.
They presented the affidavits during the hearing of Natasha’s bail application on Friday (today). The heirs will also submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for her bail application.
Besides it, the NOCs would be submitted by Imran Arif’s widow, Romana Imran, his son Usama Arif and his daughter Umaima.
Settlement agreement:
According to the copy of the affidavit, the families of the deceased stated that a settlement had been reached between them, and they forgave the accused. They said “We have forgiven her in the name of Allah, who is most merciful,”.
They further said, “We have no objection to granting her bail. The accident was not intentional, and we have given this NOC without any pressure. Everything stated in the affidavit is completely true,”.
Just a day ago, the police declared Natasha’s British driving license invalid in the interim charge sheet submitted in the Karsaz accident case.
On August 19, a speeding car on Karsaz Road in Karachi lost control and ran over pedestrians which resulted into death of a father and daughter and leaving four others injured.
The police arrested the woman driver soon after the accident.
