The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday said that the weather in Karachi would remain hot and humid for the next several days, with the temperature possibly exceeding 36 degrees Celsius after an increase.
In a statement issued by the department, it was predicted that monsoon winds might affect rural districts of Sindh from September 26.
However, there is no indication that the system would enter Karachi, nor is there any chance of rain.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather in the city remained hot and humid on Friday, with the maximum temperature recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius for the second consecutive day, while the humidity level was 64%.
The department also forecast that from September 25, a wave of western winds from the Bay of Bengal may enter the upper regions of the country.
From September 26 to 28, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms at some places in Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Umerkot and surrounding areas.
According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfaraz, there is no chance of rain in the city under this system.
He stated that over the next few days, the maximum temperature in the city may mostly reach 35 degrees, with a possibility of it rising to 36 degrees on some days.
However, after the winds change direction, the temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees, and to make the weather more moderate.
