The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, has revealed the date for the much-anticipated inauguration of Karachi’s refurbished cricket stadium.
Sharing the update on X (formerly Twitter), Naqvi encouraged cricket enthusiasts to gear up for the event, promising an unforgettable evening.
“The grand opening of Karachi Stadium is set for February 11, featuring electrifying musical acts by Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, and Sahir Ali Bagga,” he stated.
He further mentioned that President Asif Ali Zardari would officially inaugurate the Karachi stadium newly constructed building.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formally opened the renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, a move that comes as Pakistan prepares to host the Champions Trophy after nearly three decades.
The event saw the participation of federal ministers and assembly members, underlining the government’s commitment to modernizing sports facilities.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also attended, reaffirming the provincial leadership’s dedication to the project.
