Karachi business community has announced the launch of a new airline named Air Karachi soon.
In this regard, businessman Hanif Gohar revealed name of the new airline “Air Karachi”. Hanif said that registration in Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan, and an application has been sent to the federal government for the license of Air Karachi.
He said that in the first phase, three aircraft will be acquired on lease for Air Karachi, Southern Commander Air Vice Marshal Imran has been appointed as the CEO of Air Karachi.
He said that Aqeel Karim Dhedi, Arif Habib, and SM Tanveer are shareholders in Air Karachi. In addition, Bashir Jan Muhammad, Khalid Tawab, Zubair Tufail, and Hamza Tabani are also shareholders of Air Karachi.
Hanif Gohar said that there is a strong possibility of obtaining the license for Air Karachi in a few days.
Air Karachi is being started with an investment of Rs 5 billion. Current share of each shareholder in Air Karachi is Rs 50 million.
