Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar resolved their five yeara legal fight outside the court dropped their cases together.
Both a actress and a freshly chosen member of parliament, Ranaut posted this Instagram update.
Thanking Akhtar’s friendliness, she stated that their defamation case had been resolved by means of negotiation.
Moreover, she said he had agreed to help with the writing of songs for her next directorial endeavor.
A famous lyricist and screenwriter, Akhtar first brought a defamation case against Ranaut in 2020.
His grouse came from her comments on him in an interview done after actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away.
Ranaut claimed during the interview that Akhtar once called her to his house and cautioned her about Rakesh Roshan and his family.
She said he pushed her to apologize to them under threat of serious outcome if she declined.
She says he warned that she would be incarcerated and eventually compelled to resort to desperate means including suicide.
She said he hollered at her and left her shaken, her encounter to be described as scarry.
In reaction, Akhtar rejected all allegations and stated her assertions were utterly unfounded.
In court he said he had let her know beforehand the intent of their encounter.
He rejected her arguments and said their talk was not about irrelevant subjects such as international relations or politics.
In response Ranaut filed a countercharge against Akhtar alleging extortion and invasion of privacy.
She said he tried to radicalize her and attitude her decency.
