Canadian singer Justin Bieber has landed in Mumbai to perform at the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, as reported by various Indian media outlets.
Bieber’s arrival, captured in a video by paparazzi, shows his vehicle navigating through the streets of Mumbai. He is set to headline the Sangeet ceremony on Friday, sharing the stage with popular Indian artists Badshah and Karan Aujla.
Known for their extravagant events, the Ambanis have previously shelled out large sums for international stars like Rihanna and Katy Perry. Reports indicate that Bieber will receive $10 million for his performance. Other high-profile performers, including Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey, are also rumored to be in discussions to join the celebrations.
The wedding festivities for Anant and Radhika will span three days, from July 12 to 14. The schedule includes traditional ceremonies such as ‘Shubh Vivaah,’ ‘Shubh Aashirwad,’ and ‘Mangal Utsav.’
The pre-wedding events began with a Gujarati ‘mameru’ ceremony, where the bride’s maternal uncle presents her with gifts. A dandiya and garba night, hosted by the Ambani family matriarch Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani, followed on July 4.
Radhika Merchant has already garnered attention with her elegant pre-wedding attire during the cruise event earlier this year.
Mukesh Ambani, India’s wealthiest man, and his family have previously hosted several pre-wedding celebrations for their youngest son and his fiancée in March and June, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the most talked-about weddings of the year.
