Former U.S president Joe Biden extended his congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump in a recent phone call, reportedly.
According to media reports, in the conversation, Biden assured his cooperation to a smooth transition of power. He mentioned that the only solution of country’s recent problems is unity and mutual cooperation.
As per reports, Biden also presented an invitation to Trump to visit the White House for a meeting, which Trump accepted.
Earlier, Joe Biden also met with the Vice President Kamala Harris, Democratic candidate in the recent presidential election. Biden will deliver a speech to the nation today, reportedly.
In recent U.S. elections Republican Trump has secured the presidency becoming the 47th President of the United States.
Donald Trump, 78-years old, has made a remarkable return to the power, right after four years his previous tenure ended. Now, Trump has declared a new chapter of American leadership which would test democratic institutions and international relations.
