PTI founding chairman Imran Khan will today appear before an anti-terrorist court of Lahore in Jinnah House attack case.
However, a court in Rawalpindi denied the police request to transfer him to Lahore for investigation. Khan will appear via video-link from Adiala Jail before the ATC Lahore as police would request for his remand.
Imran Khan was booked in Jinnah House attack case after the court on last Friday acquitted him in Iddat case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has also arrested Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in another Toshakhana reference. The court has also granted the NAB his eight-day remand in the case.
If the ATC Lahore granted his remand, the police will investigate him under charges of inciting violence against state.
He has been facing over 12-case in May 9 related incident.
There are more than 200 cases are registered against Iman Khan in different police stations across the country.
His sentence has already been suspended in two Toshakhana case and the courts had acquitted him in another two major case- the Cipher case and Iddat Case.
His party and supporters were expecting he would be released from prison on Friday after his acquittal in Iddat case, but the NAB and Lahore Police arrested him another Toshakhana reference and May 9 case.
The PTI termed the case against Khan politically motivated. Many believe Khan’s release directly linked to the deal with country’s powerful military establishment. He is under prison for over a year.
