A handwritten sign at the Quetta Railway station’s main ticket counter designates it as the “jaffar express Information Desk”.
Latest news are coming out that Atleast 27 terrorists have been killed in the operation.
However, still hundreds of passengers are under their hostage.
Reportedly, the terrorists are wearing suicide bomb jackets .
They have given warning that they will blow them up in case of any military operations.
However, Security situation at Quetta station is very tight.
When quired about the Jaffar Express update, the staff at the main ticket counter respond calmly, “We haven’t received any updates, sir. There’s no news from Bolan yet.”
The main challenge there is of connectivity as the area where train was hijacked is extremely isolated.
There are rugged mountains and no settlement for dozens of miles nearby.
In the area ,there is also no internet connectivity .This is causing an hurdle in getting information from the place.
Brother of one passenger said, “over and over again, I am dialing his number ,but to no avail”
He said when he couldn’t connect he came to the station in the hopes of getting information about his well being.
Another said that my father is a diabetic and he didn’t know anything about his well being.
