Sharmin Segal has joined Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the cast of Love & War, following her role in Heeramandi.
Although Bhansali Productions first named Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt as the main characters in the love drama, Segal’s involvement in the movie was just revealed by an Indian media site.
Reddit users have reported that an insider with the film’s production has verified Segal’s presence in Bhansali’s picture.
Though they were unable to express their worries to Bhansali directly, there were rumors that several of the project’s employees had doubts about Segal’s acting prowess.
Segal disabled comments on her Instagram posts as a result of the outrage. Many fans questioned Bhansali’s choice to give her a major role, conjecturing that it was because of her relationship with his family.
Actor Aditi Rao Hydari called the online abuse of Segal unjust and cruel and denounced it.
She recommended against such harsh criticism and stressed the value of properly expressing one’s thoughts.
