The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has warned against repeating 1971’s history that resulted cessation of Bangladesh when victory of a political party was replaced with defeat.
The PTI is ready to move forward with government if its concerns over election result manipulations end up with justice, the party leadership has said adding to prosecute the boss of National Accountability Bureau over Imran Khan’s malicious trials.
Should the PTI’s warning be taken as a threat or a suggestion for a fair and just political system in Pakistan? The opposition also seems filled up with a new energy after having been bailed out under Toshakhana case; it is hopeful even for the ending of Alqadir University’s case in its favor. But how this hope emerged is a question which PTI’s leadership can better explain. This what the PTI has said a day before yesterday.
However, with regard to the matter for not to repeat history of 1971, the PTI’s presence in the Parliament can hopefully help to know what this statement is about. Apparently it looks a suggestion for a better and improved political system based on justice that speaks; such system is a voice of almost everyone.
As far the step to move forward in a positive way is also something which is commendable, though PTI links it with the provision of justice over an alleged distortion of results by the Election Commission of Pakistan. However what PTI needs to do is that it should stop maligning the top command of military especially in the context of an alleged poisoning of the formerly first lady Bushrs Bibi. Our security forces are very much busy on the front of terrorism and no one should keep oneself in darkness what terrorists are doing here.
The PTI must be aware of it that how through a mechanized way our people and forces are being targeted. A recent statement of Indian Foreign Minister about killing people in Pakistan should also be important for PTI’s leadership. Its leadership has also demanding a through medical examination of Bushra Bibi by a team of Shaukat Khanam doctors even after her physician Dr. Asim has refuted of her being poisoned.
The PTI claims that after a period of two months poisoning cannot be detected by simple assessments, as only thorough detailed examination it can be determined. Though the government already sent four doctors of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) with Dr Asim and in whose opinion too she was not poisoned. Even then if PTI demands her examination by more doctors of Shaukat Khanam then government should simply allow it. This step from the government side can help defuse political tensions.
Secondly when five doctors have already ruled out poisoning then what harm is there if more five or ten could be sent? Can it be possible that five renowned doctors report no poisoning while other will report otherwise? Is it not the right of a political party be satisfied they way it wants? Moreover, whoever is in support of a strong and democratic would surely say for not to repeat 1971’s politics which in fact is a fact. However now when PTI has at last said to move forward then the government should also go a step further as it is need of the hour when Pakistan is fighting at different fronts right from economic stability to boarders.
