The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) claimed that internet disruptions and slowdowns would end by the end of October.
The PTA officials said that the installation and upgradation of the Web Management System (WMS) would be completed by October 20.
The installation of WMS would also help prevent attacks on the internet system.
The authority further mentioned that the upgradation would allow the system to handle a capacity of 8 to 9 terabytes.

There had been different rumours that fire walls were being installed which affected internet speed in the country.
The media reports suggested that the internet problems caused huge loss of millions of rupees to the business related to information technology.
