Inter-city public transport services suspended in Lahore on Friday as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests intensified.
Metro bus services operate on limited routes, while the main inter-city bus terminal, Lorry Adda, remains completely closed due to road blockages and security measures.
The Metro bus service limits operations to the Gajjumata-MAO College route, with services halted between MAO College and Shahdara due to roadblocks.
Containers placed at key locations have further disrupted traffic and public transport.
Lahore’s Orange Line train service remains fully operational and continues to run on schedule, despite the ongoing protests and road closures.
In response to PTI’s demonstrations, authorities heightened security measures, particularly around key protest areas like Minar-e-Pakistan, Shahdara, and Azadi Chowk.
Police have also dispersed student gatherings near protest sites, especially on the Azadi Flyover.
