Prominent Indian industrialist and business tycoon Ratan Tata has passed away at the age of 86.
Tata was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital, according to reports from a foreign news agency.
Tata was undergoing several medical tests due to health complications for his advanced age. He was hospitalized on Monday. A team of expert doctors was monitoring his condition.

Tata’s great vision transformed the Tata Group into a global conglomerate.
Tata was the chairman of the Tata Group from 1991 and held the same position until 2012.
During his period Tata Group expanded across multiple countries and established a strong global position.
He also introduced the Tata Nano, the world’s most affordable car. This innovation enhanced the world wide popularity of the company.
Tata became chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, Tata Industries, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, and Tata Chemicals after retiring from chairmanship of Tata Group in 2012.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X to express his condolences on the death of Tata.
“Tata was a visionary and remarkable individual. He was a steady leader who shaped one of India’s most esteemed business empires”, Modi wrote.
