An Indian-origin citizen was involved in explosions in over 3,000 pagers used by Hezbollah in Lebanon, the international media reported on Monday.
Indian-origin individual, Renson Jose, played the role of an Israeli facilitator and has now fled to the US to avoid arrest.
Norwegian police told Reuters that during the investigation of the pagers explosions, it was discovered that a company named Notra Global, owned by an Indian-origin citizen in Norway, was involved in the preparation of the pagers.
According to the police, no transaction linked to the Indian citizen’s company proved the purchase or sale of pagers, but evidence was found that the company was involved in their supply.
Norwegian police initiated legal proceedings to arrest the Indian citizen, but he managed to escape to the US beforehand.
Renson Jose, originally from the Indian state of Kerala, arrived in Norway’s capital, Oslo, ten years ago for educational purposes.
Reuters claimed that when Renson Jose was asked over the phone about the pagers explosions, he hung up without answering.
Recently, the international warrant were issued for the arrest of the Indian-origin individual involved in the pagers bomb explosions.
