Both teams are facing off at the Dubai Stadium in what is merely a formality, as they have already secured their spots in the semi-finals.
Speaking after the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said they also wanted to bat first. Varun Chakravarthy has replaced Harshit Rana in the team.
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner stated that they have made one change, with Daryl Mitchell coming in for Devon Conway.
