Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf founder Imran Khan has removed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from his position as the President of PTI in KP.
The PTI incarcerated leader has appointed Junaid Akbar as the new President of PTI in KP, confirmed by Salman Akram Raja.
The party’s Secretary General, Salman Akram Raja, has been directed to issue a notification for Junaid Akbar’s appointment.
Khan has also instructed Salman Akram Raja to consult on restructuring the party in Punjab.
As per media reports, the Imran Khan has expressed concerns over corruption issues in KP and had advised Ali Amin to step away from the politics of Dera Ismail Khan.
The founder had lengthy discussions with Junaid Akbar and Atif Khan and tasked Junaid with addressing the party’s issues in KP, according to media reports.
Salman Akram Raja stated that Ali Amin Gandapur himself wished to relinquish the party presidency.
“This decision aligns with Gandapur’s request, as he wanted to dedicate himself entirely to the governance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Raja said.
He also mentioned that the founder of PTI had advised Ali Amin Gandapur to focus on the issues of terrorism and governance in the province.
Salman Akram Raja further stated that the PTI is committed to ongoing talks if the government created judicial commission.
