Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf incarcerated founder Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, was taken into custody outside Adiala Jail.
According to media reports Faisal Chaudhary was arrested for allegedly using abusive language against jail officer Imran Riaz the previous day.
A day earlier Khan’s lawyer had arrived at Adiala Jail to meet the PTI founder and other PTI Imprisoned members. When he was denied to meet party members, Mr.Chaudhary used heated argument with jail staff, using inappropriate language.
Faisal Chaudhry also used offensive language in front of the Assistant Superintendent.
The confrontation reportedly escalated when police attempted to disperse PTI supporters gathered outside the facility, and stop the lawyer to meet PTI incarcerated members
He questioned why he was stopped and who had the authority to deny him clearance, while Assistant Superintendent Imran Riaz kept trying to explain the situation.
Following the altercation, authorities instantly took action moved and detained Faisal Chaudhry. He has been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
PTI officials have condemned the detention of Faisal Chaudhary, calling it an act of political victimization. However authorities stated that the action is taken in accordance with the law.
