PTI founder and former prime minsiter Imran Khan gets bail in Toshakhana 2 case on Wednesday.
Imran Khan was granted bail against two surety bonds totaling Rs 10 lacs each, and the Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared the decision and ordered his release accordingly.
In the Toshakhana-II case, PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi’s requests for acquittal were denied on November 14.
The reserved ruling was given by Special Central Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand, who also dismissed the former prime minister’s and his wife’s acquittal arguments.
Separately, the FIA went to the Supreme Court to contest Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi’s bail in the Toshakhana-II case.
In their application, the FIA claimed that the granting of bail in the Islamabad High Court judge’s chamber was against Supreme Court rules. According to the FIA, Bushra Bibi and her husband, Imran Khan, were also implicated in the case.
Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi, were arrested on July 13 in a new National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference pertaining to Toshakhana, only hours after they were found not guilty in the Iddat case.
