Thousands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf supporters are marching toward Islamabad D-Chowk to join the protest on the final call from party founder Imran Khan.
PTI workers from across the country are heading to the protest site in Islamabad, overcoming all hurdles set by law enforcement agencies.
As per the party worker’s statement, Sher Afzal Marwat is marching towards Islamabad leading a convoy of over 80,000 PTI supporters.
On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur brought a convoy of over 40,000 supporters from KP and is heading towards Islamabad.
Amid the PTI protest, federation has deployed security forces in Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Following the government orders police and rangers have set hurdles in all the exit and entry points of these cities prohibiting any transportation between the cities.
However, crossing all these obstacles, thousands of PTI workers from Punjab have reached Islamabad to participate in the protest on the final call of Khan. But due to tight security measures, this number is very thin.
A PTI leader has separately claimed that over one million people are expected to reach in Islamabad D Chowk in next two days. He declared that the protest will be continued until their demands are met.
It is worth noting that, amid these protests, all educational institutions in Lahore and Islamabad were closed yesterday.
In Islamabad, all educational institutions are still closed and no order for their reopening is issued yet.
