Imran Khan did not demand anything from COAS says Faisal Chaudhry during a talk show at a private TV channel.
Earlier, details of Imran khan’s letter to the Army Chief have surfaced upon the mainstream, in which Khan has highlighted some eminent issues.
Families of people are being harassed, and continuous human rights violations are there. Especially, with the objective of crushing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, which has hurt the public.
He, in his letter, further mentioned that the fifth major reason is the country’s economic deterioration because of political instability.
This has forced people to leave Pakistan rapidly, taking their capital abroad.
Economic instability is at its peak, the growth rate is zero, and investment in Pakistan is almost nonexistent.
Investment is impossible in any country without the rule of law and justice.
Where terror fear exists, no one is willing to invest.
Investment is feasible where a government representing the people’s dreams takes power, otherwise all the other recipes are useless.
He said the sixth major reason is that all the institutions have lost the sense of responsibility and are engaged in dismantling PTI for political revenge.
People at the major and colonel levels are again and again disobeying the judicial verdicts.
Court decisions are being trampled upon, which is damaging the entire military’s reputation.
The other day, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge ordered my wife to appear for investigation. Whereas, despite her willingness to comply, some unseen force sabotaged the process.
Imran Khan further stated that, as a former Prime Minister, it is my duty to highlight the issues that are causing continuous damage to the military’s reputation.
My policy has been the same from day one: the military is mine, and so is the country.
For national stability and security, it is essential to bridge the growing gap between the military and the public.
There is only one way to reduce this widening divide. The military must return to its constitutional limits.
Moreover, it should detach itself from politics, and fulfill its designated responsibilities.
The military itself must take this step; otherwise, this growing divide will turn into fault lines in national security.
Details of Imran Khan’s letter to the COAS indicate that he is much aggrieved at the May 9 incident and its consequences on PTI.
