Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan said that the entire party should be ready, as they would soon announce a move to take to the streets.
He urged the nation to come out for a street movement to protect freedom, saying, “Our movement is a jihad for democracy.”
While speaking to journalists at Adiala Jail, he mentioned that due to Special Judge Humayun Dilawar, both he and Bushra Bibi are in jail. “Whoever decides against us is rewarded,” he claimed. “Humayun Dilawar has been gifted land worth billions of rupees. All the evidence is with KP Anti-Corruption, but now the FIA has filed a case against KP Anti-Corruption.”
The former Prime Minister also stated that Mohsin Naqvi has inflicted the most cruelty on them.
“Zille Shah was tortured to death by the police, his body was thrown on the street, and an FIR was filed against me.
In return for oppressing us, Mohsin Naqvi was made the Interior Minister and Chairman of PCB.
Qazi Faez Isa protected those who oppressed us. He took away our electoral symbol and didn’t hear our human rights petitions.”
Imran Khan said that in the past, the former Commissioner of Rawalpindi had held the Chief Justice and Election Commission responsible for rigging the elections.
“Now, they are planning to re-impose the Chief Justice. Yahya Khan had deceived the Awami League and Sheikh Mujibur Rehman to save his power, and the same is being done today for personal interests. The Supreme Court is the only institution left, and now it’s being attacked.”
The PTI founder further said, “They have cornered Nawaz Sharif with a scare, or else he would have fled long ago. I urge the entire nation to step out for a street movement to protect freedom. Our movement is a jihad for democracy. I ask the judiciary to stand up for the rule of law. Due to the absence of the rule of law, the country is not attracting any investment.”
He added that “The whole party should stay ready, and they would soon announce taking to the streets. “Sadaullah Baloch’s wife and daughter have been abducted. They have no shame; they entered the assemblies and arrested parliamentarians. This has never happened before. No one has ever been arrested from parliament, and similarly, my wife is in jail unlawfully.”
Two days ago, Imran Khan had stated in a message that he stands with Ali Amin Gandapur and that anyone who apologizes for Ali Amin’s statement is a coward and should not be in the party—they should leave the party.
