Veteran actor Imran Abbas opened up about the critics who mocked him for revealing that he was offered many lead roles in the Bollywood industry.
Imran Abbas is one of the most talented actors of Pakistani entertainment industry. He has been a part of many hit projects such as Dil-e-Muztar and Khuda Aur Mohabbat.
Imran has international fan following. He is not only praised by Pakistanis but also across the borders. He has worked in many hit projects of Bollywood amusing fans with his strong performance.
Recently Imran Abbas appeared in an interview and talked about the criticism he faced in previous days.
Previously, in an interview Imran revealed that he had been offered major Bollywood projects like PK, Aashiqui 2 and Heeramandi. Later for this revelation he faced backlash as many made fun of his statement.
Now in a recent interview Imran responded those bad remarks. “Many people believe that it is not possible for Pakistani artists to receive major offers from Bollywood. But I have received international recognition, so these offers were not a big deal for me”, Imran told.
During the interview Imran also addressed the criticism that Pakistani actors often have to face after making their debut in Indian Cinema.
“Many believe that these actors have an inferiority complex and want to seek validation from India. Thats why they moved to Bollywood”, Imran added.
However, Imran said that the reason to work with Indian artists is that they want to get a big exposure.
“Collaborating with Bollywood not only benefits actors but also helps to improve the quality of work in Pakistan”, he shared.
Overall Imran stressed that working on international platform is not about feeling inferior but about broadening horizons and striving for excellence.
