Former prime minister Imran Khan urged people of Pakistan to keep moving towards Islamabad and protest for ‘haqeeqi azadi’ on Saturday.
Imran Khan posted on X, “I am so proud of all our people. Thank you for keeping the faith. You showed unfaltering resilience and courage as you came out yesterday & overcame unbelievable obstacles to keep marching forward towards D Chowk.”
“You pushed against the fascist govt’s incessant shelling and fire, you overcame the containers, the digging up motorway and the iron nails planted there to keep moving ahead – the ladies and old men together with the youngsters all demonstrating persistent bravery & courage.”

Police and law enforcement agencies have placed barriers at major routes leading to Lahore and Islamabad. The government has also deployed army for the security of Islamabad.
Khan further stated, “I’m urging everyone to continue driving to D Chowk so they may join Ali Amin’s convoy. I want to thank our people in KP, North Punjab, and Islamabad in particular.”
“With your perseverance and dedication, you have overcome unsurmountable challenges including bombardment, chemicals thrown from helicopters, trenches, and nails on the highway.”
PTI founder continued by sating, “I am also asking our people from Punjab to move towards Minar i Pakistan in Lahore. If they cannot make it there they must join the protests in their cities.”
“This is a battle for Haqeeqi Azadi, which would allow us to live as free citizens in our nation under the Constitution and the Rule of Law, just as our founder, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, intended.”
