Bollywood diva, Ileana D’Cruz took her fans on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride last year when she joyfully revealed her pregnancy. From enchanting glimpses of her baby shower to navigating through mood swings and midnight cravings, the actress has been on a captivating journey.
Despite her temporary absence from the silver screen, she is fully immersed in the enchanting world of motherhood. In a recent heart-to-heart with Times of India, she bared it all, from her postpartum struggles to keeping her partner, Michael Dolan, under wraps.
Last year, the actress’s focus shifted entirely to the upcoming addition to her family upon discovering her pregnancy in November 2022. As 2023 unfolded, she juggled pregnancy and relocating to the US. Despite facing minor hurdles, Ileana, guided by her doctors, opted for a well-deserved period of rest instead of working during her pregnancy.
Delving into the raw and unfiltered reality of postpartum depression, she shared, “Postpartum depression is very real, and nothing can prepare you for it.” Expressing gratitude for her robust support system, she admitted to grappling with intense emotions and the undeniable presence of her mom’s guilt. She confessed to missing her son even when he was sleeping in the next room.
Despite being candid about motherhood on Instagram, D’Cruz has been discreet about her partner. In response to marriage speculations with Dolan in May 2023, she prefers maintaining a mystery, saying, “There’s so much speculation. Let’s just leave it at that. It is nice to have a tiny bit of mystery, right?” Expressing discomfort with public scrutiny, she protects her personal life, especially concerning her partner and family.
On the professional front, D’Cruz was recently seen in The Big Bull alongside Abhishek Bachchan. Her next projects include Unfair And Lovely opposite Randeep Hooda.
