PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan says the party is ready to talk with the government as Imran Khan gives go-ahead.
Gohar who met with incarcerated founding chairman of the PTI Imran Khan, however, before announcing the development further said they would take the allies into confidence on the matter. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is party of multi-party opposition alliance led by Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) president Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
The PTI earlier asserted it would only hold dialogue with the real stake-holders—a clue towards military establishment—as the ruling parties lack authority.
However, in an apparent U-turn, the PTI all of the sudden changes its stance and expressed complete willingness for talks. “The ice is melting,” said Gohar in an apparent reference to Imran Khan. “We reached to the conclusion that PTI has no other option but to hold dialogue with ruling parties,” he said, adding the party leaders met Imran Khan in Adiala jail and tried to pursue him for dialogue. Imran, he said, gives them go-ahead.
Gohar said the Imran Khan would not send letter to the Supreme Court so far and that the PTI never refused to talk to anyone.
