The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that it will create a fan park at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium so that supporters can watch the much awaited India vs. Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match while not traveling 11,000 kilometers to Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Thanks to the ICC’s decision, supporters of the Green Shirts will be able to witness the intensity of the match on a large screen on June 9 at the Rawalpindi stadium.
Ten fan parks will screen the match between the bitter rivals, including the Indira Gandhi Indoor Arena in New Delhi, India, and Nassau County’s Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, New York.
Fans can enter the Rawalpindi fan park ninety minutes prior to the game and it will stay accessible for another sixty minutes after the play concludes.
In a statement, the ICC said, “The ICC has announced a record number of fan parks to broadcast the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 with nine live sites in five different countries.”
According to the international organization, this decision will enable the largest cricket carnival in the history of the ICC World Cup to reach more people than ever before.
The ICC said that up to 22 World Cup matches would be shown in a variety of cities, including Rawalpindi, New Delhi, and New York City. This will be the most fan parks for an ICC World Cup ever.
“The parks will include live entertainment such as DJs, food and beverage outlets, cricket ambassadors, and kid-friendly attractions, making it an unforgettable experience for supporters across the globe,” said the statement.
