Punjab is going to host the pilot project that will install solar systems in different families as part of the Roshan Gharana Programme.
Following an instruction to launch the programme as soon as possible, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will hold online registration for the Roshan Gharana programme in the coming days.
By the Roshan Gharana Programme, hundreds of 1 KV solar systems would be made available. Two solar panels, a battery, an inverter, wiring, and other components are included with every installation.
Eligibility:
The solar system will be available to protected power users who use fewer than 100 units of electricity each month. During this phase, beneficiaries will be chosen via a lottery mechanism.
CM emphasised in a recent meeting the importance of installing solar systems with the newest technologies as soon as possible. She also advocated for the use of premium solar panels, batteries, inverters, and other tools.
The goal of the Chief Minister Roshan Punjab programme is to shield low-income people from high electricity costs.
The programme promotes sustainable energy practices while also trying to provide a safety net for the masses who are paying record-high electricity bills. It also helps households satisfy their energy needs on their own and advances technical advancements.
