During an interview with Indian journalist Faridoon, Hira responded to his statement that she could have been in Jab We Met. She agreed, adding a personal anecdote, “Yes, my Khala contacted me immediately after watching the film and said, ‘You know what? This movie is based on your personality! I remember watching the film with my family. I realized how much I resemble with the character. Imtiaz Ali you should meet with me before writing it”.
