Pakistani actress Hira Khan has disclosed that she was approached by a director who invited her to an audition at 11pm, requesting that she wear a revealing outfit.
Khan rejected the offer, revealing details of the incident in a recently viral interview clip.
In the interview, Khan explained that while working on a drama, an actress informed her that a director was looking for a female lead and suggested she reach out to him. Khan acquired the director’s contact details and sent him a message.
She did not disclose the director’s name or the identity of the actress who provided the contact.
Hira Khan described how, after sending the message, the director requested two photos instead of reviewing her previous work and suggested a direct audition at night. When she proposed attending the audition the following day at 3 PM, the director insisted on a late-night meeting.
The director reportedly instructed Khan to wear a short or bold outfit and claimed that the audition would be confidential, with videos sent only to the producers. Khan refused, stating she does not wear such clothing on screen.
The director’s assurance that the videos would not be shared elsewhere led her to end the conversation.
Following the incident, Khan consulted another director, who informed her that such auditions are not standard practice and suggested that the initial director might be fraudulent.
