After the martyrdom of Hezbollah’s Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, the interim head and Deputy Chief Naim Qassem, in his first address, expressed his resolve not to back down from their objectives.
In his speech, Naim Qassem said, “We have lost our leader and brother, who loved his fighters.”
The Hezbollah Deputy Chief stated, “We will not delay but soon elect our new leader according to the procedure, and we will not step back from our mission to protect Lebanon and support Gaza.”
He added, “We have been conducting attacks within 150 kilometers inside Israel, and even after Hassan Nasrallah’s martyrdom, our operations will continue and intensify. If Israel launches a ground operation in Lebanon, we are prepared for it.”
The interim head of Hezbollah further said that Israel would not succeed in its objectives, and they would emerge victorious, just as they did in the 2006 war with Israel.
