HEC ( The Higher Education Commission) of Pakistan has recently introduced a new system for the online attestation of degrees and documents.
As per HEC, it is mandatory for Pakistani citizens to get the documents attested from The Higher Educational Department. Especially, if they aim to apply for studies or job in the foreign countries.
The applicants need to apply for the attestation of their documents and for other applications at https://eservices.hec.gov.pk/
Modes of attestation
HEC primarily offers two modes of attestation:
Walk-in mode:
- It deals with urgent applications. It allows the person to either submit his document by himself or authorize someone for it.
- The commission will then verify the documents. After initial verification, the relevant applicant will be informed via an email or SMS for further prospects.
- The applicant will then go in-person for walk-in verification and attestation.
Courier service mode:
- In authorized courier service mode, the process is designed for regular applicants.
- The applicants can send their documents through any registered and affiliated courier service.
- The respective courier service is now in-charge of the entire process of sending and delivering the applicant’s credentials.
Documents Required
- Original Documents to be attested.
- Photocopies of the respective documents.
- Attestaion fee for all the respective documents.
Steps to Follow
- Visit the website eservices.hec.gov.pk.
- Fill the form to apply.
- Submit the application form.
- Wait for SMS or Email to confirm your application
- If there are any issues, you will be notified.
- If the process is smooth, HEC will notify that your application is under processing.
- Wait for HEC to attest your documents to.
- HEC will notify you after attesting your documents.
Fee structure
HEC’s fee structure solely depends upon the mode or process used for document’s attestation:
Normal Process Fee:
- For the original documents the commission will take Rs1,000 fee per document.
- For a single photocopy’s attention the commission will charge Rs 700.
- The commission will charge the same amount amount for other documents and credentials as well.
Urgent Process Fee
- For urgent attestation, the fee is Rs3,000 per application, including the original fee set for the regular attestation process.
- In a nutshell, HEC requires the applicant to pay the original document attestation including the urgent fee. That means, original document fee Rs1,000 along with Rs700 for each photocopy, and Rs3,000 as urgent.
1-link payment system
The commission has introduced 1-link payment system for the payment of fees. The whole application process is online. After paying the fee, the commission requires the applicants to verify it on their portal before proceeding further.
