Rumors about the marriage of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar and journalist Shiffa Yousafzai are circulating on social media.
This rumor was generated after the post of journalist Najam Ul Hassan Bajwa. He posted on X that a handsome PTI executive Hammad Azhar is being married to a female journalist. Najam extended congratulations to Hammad.
Hammad Azhar responded to this tweet light heartedly. In his post he thanked Najam for his compliment about his looks. He wrote that he would inform directly to his followers if any such event will occur in the future.
Shifa Yousafzai also took to X to refute these rumors. She posted “Dear friends, I am not getting married to anyone yet; people are unjustly targeting me on social media.”
Shifa further said that rumors about her marriage are pointless. Yousafzai said that she has to face many challenges in this male-dominated environment.
She said that even she is professionally active she has to justify her existence. Shifa revealed that this is not her first experience with such rumors.
Shifa said that social media platforms should delete such baseless posts. Female journalist also thanked her supporters to stand by her.
Azhar also refute these rumors. He said that people should report those accounts spreading misinformation. He added that such rumors are for tactic propaganda to distract him.
