The government has announced a refund of Rs40,000 for the pilgrims who performed Hajj last year.
This decision was revealed by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, on Saturday.
Minister explained that the refunds would be issued based on the category of pilgrims. Each pilgrim will receive a refund of up to Rs40,000.
“This year’s Hajj pilgrims would receive even better facilities while paying the same costs”, Salik Hussain stated.
He further announced that the government of Pakistan has improvised the facilities for the pilgrims this year.
“Unlike the previous year, when pilgrims stayed in cloth tents in Mina, this year, they will stay in more modern gypsum-built tents”, Minister informed.
In addition to better accommodations, pilgrims will also be provided with air-conditioned rooms instead of the room coolers.
“We have also inaugrated “Road to Makkah” initiative. Under this program, pilgrims will complete their immigration procedures in Pakistan. This will save them time upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, their luggage will be sent directly to their hotel in Saudi Arabia”, Mr. Chaudhary said.
Pakistan government have made all these measures to enhance the comfort and convenience of the pilgrims, ensuring a smoother and more pleasant Hajj experience this year.
