A tragic incident occurred in Gujranwala city as a private school student was found dead in the school washroom, the school principal, his son, and three other suspects have been booked in the case.
As per the police report, the deceased, named Awais Ahmad, was a student of 9th class. He left home for school in the morning but was later found dead in the school washroom.
Police have shifted the dead body to the district headquarters hospital, where an autopsy was performed before the body was returned to the family.
The deceased student’s father filed a complaint, in People’s Colony station. He has accused Ahmad’s fellow student of poisoning his son to death. He requested a murder investigation against the suspect.
Local police have started the investigation of this incident. However, the People’s Colony station house officer mentioned that the exact cause of death can only be determined once the postmortem report is available.
Gujranwala City Police Officer (CPO) Rana Ayaz Saleem has instructed the Civil Lines SP to carry out an inquiry of this tragic incident.
He has ordered the SP to submit a comprehensive report on the incident.
Local police have filed charges against the school principal, Zubair, his son Abdul Hadi, and three other students based on a report by Mohsin Yousaf, the elder brother of the deceased.
