Gold rates have gone all-time high in Pakistan due to increase in international prices.
The 10-gram price of gold touched Rs216,221 while one tola rates touched Rs252,200, according to market reports.
These figures mark Rs1,286 and Rs1,500 increase respectively in price of 10 gram and one tola gold.
Jewellers Association says the prices surged due to $11 per ounce rise in the international market. The international price of one ounce is $2411.
Four days ago, the gold rates made a record increase when the prices of 10 gram and one told touched Rs215,964 and Rs251,900.
Jewellers say the marriage season has started in all over the country after Eid yet the customers are not coming to markets. They say the gold markets in all over the country are presenting a deserted look. They said the high prices of gold forced majority of people to purchase artificial jewellery and silver.
