German diplomat, Thomas Fielder was discovered dead in his apartment located within the Diplomatic Enclave, on Monday.
Thomas was serving as the Second Secretary at the German Embassy in Islamabad.
Police officials reported that his body was found after embassy staff, concerned about his absence from work for two consecutive days. Police arrived at his apartment after being notified by his colleagues about his absence. Upon entering the apartment police discovered him deceased.
The embassy promptly informed local authorities, who transferred the body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities stated that the cause of death is yet to be determined and will be confirmed after the autopsy report.
Initial findings suggest that the diplomat had previously suffered a minor heart attack, which may have played a role in his death.
The German Embassy has been notified of the situation, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding Fielder’s death.
